All of us at the Coal City Fire Protection District, on behalf of the Board of Trustees, are pleased that you are taking the time from your day to visit with the Fire / EMS District. Thank you for your support.

The Coal City Fire Protection District continues to provide a variety of services to meet the challenges we face day in and day out, whether it be a fire, emergency medical call, or disaster we stand ready to work and be there whenever the need arises.

...HIGH FIRE DANGER DUE TO WARM...DRY AND WINDY CONDITIONS THIS AFTERNOON... .IT WILL BE WARM...DRY AND WINDY THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING. LACK OF RAINFALL IN RECENT WEEKS HAS PRODUCED DRY CONDITIONS. THIS COMBINATION WILL CREATE CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR THE SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.

* AFFECTED AREA...NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA. * WINDS...SOUTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 45 MPH NORTHERN ILLINOIS... AND 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 35 MPH NORTHWEST INDIANA * TIMING...THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AS LOW AS 25 PERCENT.
