EMS Employment Opportunity:
We hire part-time EMS persons, who must be a State Certified Paramedic or EMT-Basic, able to function in the Will/Grundy System. The work schedule consists of working 6 hr. shifts manning our Advanced Life Support ambulance service. All prospective EMS personnel must complete our interview process, subject to an in-depth background check as well as, serve a one year probation period. In district personnel will be given precedence over out of district personnel for hiring purposes.
Fire Employment Opportunity:
All fire personnel are paid on call volunteer fire fighters. All district fire personnel must be State Certified Fire Fighter II, either at the time of employment or will be required to attend the fire academy which annually begins in January and finishes at the end of May. Fire personnel must live within the boundaries of the Coal City Fire Protection District. All prospective fire fighters must complete an interview process, subject to an in-dept background check as well as, serve a one year probation period.
